Standpipe systems and hose cabinets

The right arrangement depends on the building, water supply, firefighting strategy, hose-connection locations, pressure requirements and approved plans. We review those details before defining the project scope.

Wet standpipe system

Water remains in the piping under normal conditions. The approved supply arrangement determines how the required firefighting flow and pressure are provided.

Dry standpipe system

The piping is normally not filled with water. The water-delivery and activation sequence must be defined for the selected system and building.

Fire hose cabinet

The cabinet houses the specified hose-station equipment and must be coordinated with the standpipe connection, mounting condition and approved layout.
