Fire detection and alarm system types

The right detection arrangement depends on the property, occupancy, hazard, ceiling conditions, airflow, alarm sequence, required interfaces and approved plans. We review those details before recommending a system.

Conventional FDAS

Initiating devices are grouped by zones, allowing the panel to show the affected area. A practical arrangement for selected smaller or straightforward properties.

Addressable FDAS

Compatible devices and modules carry programmed addresses, allowing the panel to report more specific point, location and event information.

Device-level identification Learn more about addressable FDAS

Aspirating smoke detection

A detector actively draws air through a sampling-pipe network. It can support early warning and selected difficult-access or critical applications.

Beam smoke detection

A projected beam monitors smoke obscuration across a large open area. It is considered where point-detector placement or access is difficult.

We review the property, required alarm sequence and existing interfaces before defining the FDAS scope and project sequence.

01

Site assessment

We review the property, current conditions, available plans and project requirements.

02

Design & planning

We define the panel, device layout, alarm sequence, interfaces and installation scope.

03

Review quotation

We discuss the proposed scope, inclusions, commercial terms and questions before approval.

04

Supply & installation

Equipment, cabling, devices and site work follow the agreed project scope.

05

Testing & commissioning

The installed system is tested and commissioned against the approved scope and sequence.

06

Service + BFP follow-up

We remain available for maintenance, project records and BFP-related follow-up within our scope.

FDAS already installed?
Keep every signal ready.

We provide preventive maintenance for existing fire detection and alarm systems based on the installed equipment, site conditions and agreed service scope.

  1. 01

Review the control panel, power supplies, batteries and visible system conditions.

  2. 02

Test the agreed detectors, manual stations, notification appliances and system interfaces.

  3. 03

Record faults, disabled points, device concerns and corrective work that may be needed.

  4. 04

Provide service records and BFP-related follow-up connected to our scope.

FDAS questions,
made clear.

Straight answers about system types, site assessment, project scope, existing systems, testing and BFP-related support.

A fire detection and alarm system monitors initiating devices such as smoke detectors, heat detectors and manual stations, processes their signals at the control panel, and activates the required alarm or control outputs for the approved design.
