01 Commissioning begins before the final test day
Before testing, DGRB confirms the approved scope, installation status, plans, equipment identity, programmed functions, responsible parties and outstanding work.
Pre-functional checks help find incomplete wiring, closed valves, missing labels, unfinished interfaces, access problems and documentation gaps before they disrupt a coordinated test. The exact checks depend on the system and accepted project requirements.
02 Build a test plan around the required functions
The test plan identifies what will be operated, the expected response, who must attend, how occupants and connected services are protected, and how the system will be restored. It also separates DGRB's work from functions controlled by other contractors, building management or the authority having jurisdiction.

03 System and integrated testing
Individual system tests establish the agreed operation of the installed equipment. Integrated testing checks coordinated responses where detection, notification, suppression, smoke control, access control, elevators, power or equipment shutdowns interact.
Integrated tests need the relevant contractors, facility representatives and control access on site.
- FDAS device activation, notification, supervision and programmed responses
- Water-based alarm, valve, flow and connected supervisory functions
- Smoke-control fan, damper, pressure or airflow responses within the project scope
- Clean-agent detection, release logic, alarms, shutdowns and protected-room interfaces
04 Handover records and unresolved items
Commissioning closes with records matched to the agreed work: test results, identified deficiencies, retest status, relevant equipment information and documents included in the contract. Any incomplete interface, inaccessible component or unverified function remains clearly listed.
DGRB can support BFP coordination for its scope. Final review and approval remain with the authority.
