Decisions shaped by this facility
Start with the occupancy, hazards, layout, installed condition and available project information.
Operational constraints to identify early
- Keep loading, picking and vehicle routes workable during assessment and installation.
- Coordinate work around racks, high-level access, stored goods and active warehouse schedules.
- Plan inspection and testing access so the installed protection can be maintained without unnecessary operational disruption.
Starting points for new and existing work
New construction, expansion or fit-out
For a new warehouse or fit-out, DGRB can review the planned use, available drawings and required interfaces before defining the design, supply, installation, testing and handover scope.
Existing-system maintenance, upgrade or rectification
For an operating warehouse, the first step is to document the installed condition, current storage arrangement, known impairments and the inspection, upgrade or maintenance work being requested.

Frequently asked questions
Can a warehouse be scoped from floor area alone?
No. Storage height, commodities, racks, ceiling conditions, water supply and existing protection can materially change the required assessment.
Can DGRB assess an operating warehouse?
Yes. Share operating constraints and available system records so the visit and any proposed work can be planned around the site.
What should we send first?
Send the location, plans, storage and rack information, current system details, photos and the specific new-work, upgrade or maintenance requirement.
