01 Inspection and testing answer different questions
Inspection records visible condition, access, identification and obvious deficiencies. Testing checks selected devices, controls and system functions under a planned procedure. The report states exactly what was inspected and tested.
DGRB separates those activities in the work scope so the facility knows what was observed, what was operated and what remained outside the visit. This is especially important for existing systems with incomplete drawings, past alterations or unresolved trouble conditions.
02 Systems that can be included
The service can cover an individual system or a coordinated facility requirement. The exact device sample, zones, interfaces, valves, controls and records depend on the installed arrangement and the purpose of the test.

03 What DGRB needs before testing
Provide the system identity, facility location, reason for the inspection, available plans and records, known faults and any recent changes. Identify occupied areas, connected equipment and functions that could affect people or operations when alarms, valves, fans, shutdowns or releasing controls are exercised.
Before testing, DGRB confirms the test scope, required attendance, notifications, isolation controls, access and restoration plan.
- Current drawings, zone charts, point lists or cause-and-effect records
- Previous inspection, maintenance and deficiency records
- Known disabled points, closed valves, bypasses or temporary conditions
- Facility representatives and other trades needed for integrated functions
04 Findings, limitations and next steps
The report records observations, test results, deficiencies and anything that could not be accessed or verified. Repairs, replacements, programming and further investigation are listed as follow-up work.
Authority approval follows the applicable submission or witnessed process.

Can DGRB inspect an existing system with incomplete records?
Yes. Clearly identify which drawings, point lists, test records or labels are missing. DGRB can define an initial inspection scope and state what cannot be concluded without additional information.
Does inspection automatically include repair work?
No. The inspection and testing scope records condition and results. Repairs, replacement parts, programming and other corrective work are defined and approved separately unless they were expressly included in the accepted scope.
Can several fire-protection systems be tested during one project?
Yes. DGRB can coordinate a multi-system scope when the facility identifies the installed systems, interfaces, operational restrictions and responsible representatives needed for safe testing and restoration.
